COMMISSIONING A STAINED GLASS PROJECT

  1. The first step is to schedule an appointment with us to discover what it is that you're looking for in your quest for a stained glass piece.  It is very helpful if you have in mind what style and color you would like and what your budget is for the project.  Pictures of existing pieces that you may find in magazines or on the internet is very helpful.  We will give you some ideas such as color combinations, lighting, and textures for your piece.  If you are looking for a stained glass dome, be sure that installation is possible.  The inverted domes can be installed in most locations in your home, usually over where there is an existing light fixture.  Just be sure that there is enough head room as they will hang down into your room about 12" for the 4' diameter dome.    Also, if you're ordering a window(s), we would require measurements of your project  in order to come up with a preliminary quote.  Commissions are priced mainly according to the type of glass used and the number of pieces in the project, so keep in mind, more pieces is more labour hence, more cost.

  2.  After the initial consultation, we will supply you with a preliminary quotation, which will give you an idea of the cost for your project. This preliminary quote is subject to change as the final design may change from the initial design.   Upon your approval to proceed, we will require a 10% deposit retainer of the preliminary quotation to proceed with the design of the project.  This deposit retainer will be applied to the final purchase price.

  3. In 3 to 4 weeks after your payment of the design retainer, we will contact you to review the design, glass and color choice of your stained glass project.  After your approval of design, color, and glass chosen, we will then be able to provide you with a written final quotation.  Upon your acceptance of this final quotation, we will require a 50% deposit in order to begin your project.  The project usually takes a minimum of 4 weeks to complete depending on the size and complexity of the project.

  4. After your project is completed, we will contact you to arrange a time for you to pick up your project.  The remaining balance of the final quotation is due at this time.  It will be up to you to have someone install your stained glass at your cost.  We are only the provider of the stained glass product and will not be responsible for any installation or any damage caused by faulty installation.

  5. If you are commissioning us from outside of our immediate local area, we can arrange to have your project shipped to you at your expense.  Total payment must be received before we can ship your stained glass piece.  All correspondence for the project can be done via email, phone, mail, and fax. 

  6. We will ship a project Worldwide.
